Mouretsu Pirates Wiki

This is a guide to the recommended article structures and page layouts on the Mouretsu Pirates Wiki.

For discussions regarding any problems, additions and changes to article structure, see the Forum:Watercooler. It is recommended that article structure changes should be discussed before implementation to avoid potential problems.

General

  • The recommended headings described in the lists below should be tagged according to position, with additional '=' added accordingly to increase in indent, and no additional styling (e.g. bolding, italics, underlining etc) applied to the text.
  • Avoid additional text styling (e.g. bolding, italics, underlining etc) in headings and image labels (inserted into text or in galleries).
  • When adding headings for events which fall under a particular story arc in plot or history sections, if the events of the story arc only occur in a particular medium (e.g. novel-only, anime-only, manga-only), indicate it by placing the status (e.g. novel-only, anime-only, manga-only) in brackets after the arc name in the heading.
  • Articles should have a small segment, consisting of a sentence or two, at the top of the article before any headings (after the infobox if there is one), briefly describing the subject in question.
  • When the subject of the article is first mentioned in the first lines of the article (just after the infobox), it should be written in bold, with the Japanese and Romaji for it in a bracket immediately after and the Romaji in italics (e.g. Name (JP, Rom)).

Characters

For more detail, see Mouretsu Pirates Wiki:Layout Guide/Characters

Character articles should begin with a character infobox containing data relevant to the character in question (and an image of the character if possible - this picture should display their face), followed by a few sentences briefly describing them. If the article has sub-pages, a set of character tabs should come first - these are only used if a character plays a significant role and such that the article's size would at the very least exceed 30MB.

The following headings (and sub-headings) are then used (in this order), where applicable, for the different sections (standard heading tags, no additional text styling):

  • Appearance
    • Light Novel
    • Anime
    • Manga
  • Personality & Character
  • Background (if there is a History subpage, this goes there instead)
  • Plot (if there is a History subpage, this goes there instead)
    • Arc Name (Arc Status, if applicable)
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Relationships
  • Gallery (if there is a Gallery subpage, this goes there instead)
  • Trivia
  • References

If the article is a stub, the stub template should be placed after the reference list. If the character is mentioned in a navibox, the navibox should be placed at the bottom of the page.

Ships

For more detail, see Mouretsu Pirates Wiki:Layout Guide/Ships

Ship articles should begin with a ship infobox containing data relevant to the ship in question (and an image of the ship if possible), followed by a sentence or two describing it. The following headings (and sub-headings) are then used (in this order), where applicable, for the different sections (standard heading tags, no additional text styling):

  • Technology & Combat Characteristics (just Technology for non-combat capable ships)
